How did a sweet little country girl from Virginia end up being one of the best female vert skateboarders of all time? Fate is a funny thing.. I sort of ended up where I needed to be, without meaning to. But at the same time, I skated and skated and did what I loved to do and made it work.
What’s up with West Virginia? (Seriously, do they just despise the regular Virginians?) I don't think so.. it may be the other way around? Actually I don't think anyone in the south despises anyone - except for maybe the yankees up north.. damn northerners! hahaa
Do you have any rituals or superstitions around skating? I have plenty.. let's see.. I can't eat the day of a contest - until like 9 at night after its way over. Also, if I see someone take a bad slam on a certain trick - then I can't do that trick for like a week.
Have you ever thought of doing a pro-model cast with Nikita? No, but what a great idea!! Then again, hopefully I won't need another one anytime soon..
What is your least favorite word? Right now it's "taxes" and "debt"!
If you win X Games this year, can we all go to Vegas? How about Hawaii or the Caribbean instead?? Don't get your hopes up.
What is the weirdest job you've ever had? I think it's a tie between a Zoo Volunteer that cleans up poop 9 hours a day - with a Rose Cleaner. (Picture a vacuum, huge 10 ft. tall racks full of rose plants and a pair of gloves).
What inspires you? People that motivate and inspire while keeping it real and staying grounded. People that overcome great obstacles or challenges with a positive attitude firmly intact.
What's your biggest pet-peeve? People who chew with their mouths open..
What tricks scare you the most? Probably lip tricks on big trannie where you can hang up and kill yourself.
Mega-Ramp; the future of skateboarding or suicide slide? Probably both!!
Biggest air or longest grind? Depends on the terrain.. I like both!
Favorite drink? hmm... I like those Kombucha drinks lately... otherwise known as "hippie crack"!
Favorite food? Still cheeseburgers.. haha
