Memorable Moment: Scott and I were surfing "The Magic Spot" during a hurricane clean up swell. The water was crystal clear, the most perfect glassy water I have ever seen, pink and gold skies with a neon blazing sunset, and wave after wave of perfect 8ft. A frame magic! There were only three people in the water. As if the gift of waves and a canvas, the world’s truest colors wasn't good enough, a dolphin, only about two feet in front of us, gave birth to a tiny beautiful baby dolphin. As girly and corny as it seems I sat there and cried and was over whelmed with joy, respect, and deep admiration for the ocean and the sport I love! That day was perfect and is the most memorable time in the water I have ever had. I laugh when I hear people say Florida doesn't go off! But then again maybe that's my best kept secret!!! That spot is magic. That's where I love to surf most.
Future Goals: Continue to train everyday, travel, compete on the WQS, but most importantly love and have fun with surfing. I also am going to work really hard to combine my deep love for art and surfing into a full time gig. I am not sure how to do that yet, but if I continue to work hard on my dreams/goals I know it will some how come my way.
Heaviest bodily trauma: 3 Broken Ribs or maybe two broken wrists...not yet decided on which was worse!!!!!!!!
Greatest Professional Achievement: Florida Southern College Women's Soccer record holder for: Most minutes played in Florida Southern College History (playing in every games held during four years at FSC), Quickest Goal Scorer, one of the only two players to play as a field player and goal keeper, and longest yards out recorded to score a goal, and appeared on the Commissioners Honor Roll Four Years in a row. Worked as Assistant Graphic Designer / Webmaster for Eastern Surf Magazine.
Influences: My husband, Scott and all the guys who RIP in St. Augustine. I love being out there with all those guys because they push me, they are hard working and LOVE surfing. I like to gather bits and pieces of inspiration from people I meet where ever I go.
Thank you's to whom: I owe thank yous to so many people so if I forgot someone I'm sorry but you know I love and thank you!
