I live:
..in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb
I was lucky I grew up in the only hood where skateboarding was the cool thing instead of football. All of my fears being the only girl on a skateboard were gone by the first time I went to the local park. It was just fun, no prejudice.
We spent our childhood building rails and boxes at the only free parking lot we had. Actually, I never had to work, I just had to skate better than boys from another part of the city so they’d be embarrassed to come again? .
The only thing that has really changed since then is that I started snowboarding and expanded my playground globally. I really love snowboarding and living in a place so separated from it made me think of other activities to seize my time and enjoy things accessible here.
Skateboarding inspires me for trying different things on snowboard, and vice versa, so I like to think of it as a same thing, just different background. I also ride my bike every day, weather I’m going to college or just wonder around. If it’s dry and sunny outside, we should help saving the Earth and stay fit.
Nature gives me the space to feel alive but my friends are those who give the meaning to do everything I do. It doesn’t matter if we’re shredding the closest slopes or diving in the sea around some of our Adriatic islands. It’s the moment we share and the feeling that keeps us smiling.
So I’m a very joyful person, just like anybody else who lives his dreams and wants to learn more, progress and share it with others. The reason I love Nikita is - they understand that.
The trick is just to use your senses every day. Listen to your favourite music, look around you, get the speed, feel the air, sense the sun and never forget to taste some new chocolate flavours ? .
