Double win for Elena Konz

Swiss Elena is continuing to work hard at it following wins at the Backyard Bang and Hit The Cheese in St. Moritz at the end of last year. She's currently working on building the Vanillaz snow park in Sannenmoser but because of the heavy snowfall the groomers have some time to go hunting great powder lines instead. Elena has a couple of super shots which she is working a story with so preview will appear soon...not for our eyes just yet but thanks to her grandparents, check out the article that appeared in the Engadiner Post, a local newspaper.

Show event for Petz

Right now Petra Bernhard is in sunny Gran Canaria training hard for her next downhill season and the World Championship season 2012. Meantime she sent over an update about a pretty exciting event she was lucky enough to be part of; the Swatch Snowmobil Race in Saalbach Hinterglemm 2011/12.

It's a big show event in Austria, covered by TV, magazines and newspapers. All the riders have to get a motorsports licence for 2 days to take part, so it counts as an official race. Twenty four teams take the starting position; 6 official riders, 2 pros and 1 promo rider (this was Kristian Ghedina, an ex ski champ on Petz's team).

Petz did us proud with some great rounds racing for the battle of champions race and as she was one of the pro riders on their team 'chilli' with Dominic Heinlz as team manager (a famous TV personality in Austria) she spent much time doing interviews too. They didn't win, but rest assured she had a ball and was stoked to take part in such a big money profile event that was actually a blast.
