Nikita Chickita Sweden 2010

For the first time Nikita Chickita hits Sweden!  Taking place at Sweden's best snow park, Klappen, there will be lots going on to keep you entertained and enjoying yourself.  If not for hanging out with other girls into snowboarding, there will be jib sessions, a BBQ, party and relaxed contest where you can bag yourself a trip to compete at Nikita Chickita Scandinavia in Norway on 19th - 21st March!

If you go on to win that that like Cecilia Larsen last year, you win a trip to Nikita Chickita Europe on 10th April 2010 in Serfaus, Austria.  Cecilia will be at NC Sweden together with other Nikita riders from Sweden and there's some super girl instructors, a Big Air bag etc for you to be able to work on your skills both in the air and in the park.

Best get there, it starts tomorrow!!  Be there or be bored!

Head on down to LCB surf / skate / snow at 121 Bethnal Green Road, London from today until 1st April - they have teamed up with Whitelines magazine to host an art show celebrating and promoting creative individuals that have helped shape Britain's snowboard scene...well worth a butchers!

Dominatrix

OK so not that kind of dominatrix but she's pretty much dominated the BUISC North Comp with Newcastle University who she rides for and have cleaned up in both skiing and boarding with a killer team this year.  For the individual events Ivy Taylor won the racing and came 2nd in the freestyle.  Then she went on to win in the racing and get 2nd in the freestyle overall at the BUISC (British Uni Indoor Snowboard Champs) finals at SNOzone yesterday.  She even managed to beat all the lads in the racing too!

She also just got back from riding in Scotland..."it was crazy!!!  So much snow!  They'd done a really good job on the kickers and there were a couple of rails too, I was well impressed!"

Behold the Austria Master

Julia Baumgartner must be bowed to in Austria, remember that!  She got 3rd place at the weekend in the HP but as Conny is from Germany and Helen Nadig from Switzerland, she effectively keeps her Austrian Master title!

A banging Betty Jam

Petra's Season Begins

Petra Bernhard has sent us some photos from her first downhill training in Menton, FRA. 

"Weather was great and tracks too!  I was there with my team member Mathias.  We did a lot of suspension testing for the new season.  We both are riding for the new Austrian Team, Alpine-Commencal, this year!"
