Chicks on Waves

Wouldn't it be nice to be in sunny Morocco?  Here's some photos from the last Chicks on Waves surf camp that took place there in November plus a shout on the dates for the new and upcoming camps:

A season in Laax

Great to hear from Nikita rider Chiyo Ishida, from Japan.  She spent 4 weeks with her daughter and the Proty team in Laax, Switzerland during the season.  She competed at the Bruton European Open 2010 in halfpipe. 

"I was the oldest rider at the competition, the MC was so surprised that he shouted 'she is 37' while I was riding!  It was so funny.  I met Nikita riders from other countries and we spent a good time together in Laax.  Jordie (Karlinski) from USA was riding nice at slopestyle and was the most impressive Nikita rider everyone recognised!"

NC Swiss Tour

Sarah Martinais qualifies...

Sarah just got back from qualis at the Back To Powder which means she's been invited for the main event; the Back To Powder 2010 in Areches Beaufort (France) alongside some big name riders.  It's happening from 1st - 6th February and looks like its gonna be a goodun..

Park and Powder

Ivy Taylor has been enjoying some park and powder recently in Les Deux Alpes....boasting about riding waist deep!  Some cold days, frozen goggles but tonnes of shredding in the park and trees has no doubt been doing some good.  After building a kicker and doing a barrel roll frontflip she was on a high and sent in some photos for us to enjoy.

"Hey everyone, just sending an update on how the Burton Open went.  I had a wikid time getting used to them mahoosive kickers and competing in the high standards.  Never been so nervous! :)  I ended up falling on both my runs, so really gutted about that but was a good experience non the less.  Next stop I think is in Mayrhofen for the Sista Sessions in February.  Either that or just training for the Brits in March.  So far this season is going better than last year.  I've been learning more and enjoying myself much more as well, without any injuries.  At the minute I'm making a season video so I'll have that together by April.  I have attached a few pics from the Burton European Open, including one of my falls, lol!"

Mimi coaches at All Girl Skate Jam

Mimi Knoop helped out with an AGSJ (All Girl Skate Jam) skate clinic a few weeks ago at Encinitas skatepark.  She sent over some photos, thanks to Chis Zsarnay, of just some of the girls who came out to learn how to skate (and some of their moms even padded up to learn too!).  Great fun all round then...
